It is a popular chew toy for dogs, although there is some controversy surrounding its safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nylabone was first introduced in 1955. He was inspired to create the toy after seeing his dog chew on a bone and thinking it would be better if the bone was made out of nylon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nylabone was originally designed to be a safe alternative to real bones, which can splinter and cause health problems for dogs. However, some people believe that Nylabones can also be dangerous for dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been reports of dogs choking on Nylabones, as well as reports of dogs breaking their teeth on them. There is also concern that Nylabones can cause gastrointestinal blockages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, there is no definitive answer as to whether or not Nylabones are safe for dogs. It is important to supervise your dog while they are chewing on a Nylabone and to make sure that they are not swallowing large pieces. We have a Havanese puppy that is 10 weeks old and it has been able to break off pieces of the Nylabone within minutes of starting to chew on it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I contacted Nylabone customer service to ask about it, and they told me that the Blue Puppy version is not meant to be a chew toy, but rather a teething aid. They said that if I wanted a chew toy, I should try the white version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, the Havanese could care less about the white version. He is not interested in the least.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, in short, if you have a puppy who is a heavy chewer, I would not recommend the Nylabone Blue Puppy. They love them!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We have had good experiences with the edible Nylabones. We have a Havanese puppy and a Boston Terrier, and both of them enjoy chewing on these. Frankly, they cannot get enough of them and we have to limit the amount of time they spend with the Nylabone Healthy Edibles. They are obsessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Healthy Edibles Nylabones do not last longer than other chew toys as they deteriorate faster. You probably won&#8217;t find them lasting more than a day or two. They are also messier than some of the other options (such as rawhide) since our dogs break off small pieces as they chew on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, we think the edible Nylabones are a great option for dogs who like to chew. They will keep your dog busy for a while, but you will be replacing them often. They&#8217;re durable, which is good, but our Boston Terrier doesn&#8217;t seem to be as interested in them as he is in other chew toys. Maybe it&#8217;s the flavor, or the lack thereof. Toys, bones, sticks, you name it. We have tried a lot of different things to try and deter him from chewing on things he shouldn&#8217;t, and we&#8217;ve been successful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, finding something he can chew on, not completely destroy quickly and he enjoys has been a bit of a struggle. So, when we saw the Pet Stages Tree Branch, we thought we would give it a try.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tree Branch is made of natural wood combined with typical nylon-based materials and is designed to be safe for dogs to chew on. It is also supposed to be super durable, so we were hopeful that it would be a good option for Ryder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were not disappointed. The Tree Branch has been Ryder&#8217;s favorite chew toy since we got it. He loves it so much that we actually have to hide it from him when we are not home, because he will chew on it to the point of bleeding gums if we leave it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tree Branch has lasted much longer than any other chew toy we have tried, and we are very happy with it. If you are looking for a durable, natural chew toy for your dog, we would highly recommend the Pet Stages Tree Branch.
